• Home is a sanctuary where we are safe, accepted and valued which is the foundation of family and friendship.
• Each person has fundamental rights which include freedom, choice, security, and comfort.
• We believe we have the right to conduct our own environment and the culture within our own homes.
• We shall observe the boundaries and establish social customs surrounding the respect in the homes of others, whether it is an individual or small group home.
• We believe autonomy, independence and inter-independence are pathways to good living.
• We believe all people including elders have a fundamental right to take risks, unless, they present risks to others.
• We respect others beliefs and seek the understanding to be sensitive to those beliefs.
• We recognize there is struggle involved in living out our beliefs.
